Famous Tourist Places in Shimla

Shimla is the queen of all hill stations located at the heart of the Himalayas. It features among the most popular hill stations in India with a strong colonial flavor. Picturesque waterfalls, snow laden peaks, green carpeted valleys and grand majestic bungalows are all part of its glorious past and attract lots of tourists from India and all over the world.

The Mall: It’s one of the most famous tourist attractions in Shimla. Scattered with colorful shops and classy commercial plazas, this is the ideal place to hang out.

Wild Flower Hall: It is situated at a height of 2500m and is 13 km away from Shimla on the Indo-Tibet road. Located among thick fauna and flora, the Wild Flower Hall commands a spectacular view of the snows.
  
Tattapani: It is 52 km from Shimla and famous for hot sulfurous springs. You can enjoy fishing and playing in the water.

Kufri: It is the hottest spot to be during winters, as everyone comes here to ski and throw snowballs at each other. Located at a distance of 16 km from Shimla at an altitude of 2500m above sea level, it attracts bands of ski enthusiasts from all over the country. The Himalayan nature park which is located here has a good collection of animals and birds found in the region.

Naldehra: It is situated at an altitude of 6800 feet and is 27 km from Shimla on Shimla-Tattapani road. Naldehra comprises the oldest and the highest golf course in India. Its beauty has attracted the film industry and many Hindi movies have been shot here.
